FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

How many panels can a horizontal slider have?

+
2, 3, 4 or 5 independently sliding panels. Also available as a 3-panel centre-fixed unit (HS3-CF). Multiple units can be coupled for very wide windows.

What is the maximum width?

+
Maximum width is 4,934mm per unit. For wider windows, units can be coupled side by side.

Is reveal fix better than face fix for noise?

+
Yes. Reveal-fixed installation creates a 150-200mm air cavity which is optimal for acoustic performance. Face-fixed installation is better for thermal performance with an 80mm cavity.

Can horizontal sliders be used in listed buildings?

+
Yes. They are installed internally and do not alter the external appearance of the building.
