Our balanced vertical sliding secondary glazing is specifically designed to complement sash windows — sliding vertically like the original, virtually invisible once fitted, and delivering outstanding performance.
Single-glazed sash windows lose heat rapidly, allow road noise to penetrate, and suffer from draughts and condensation. Replacing original sash windows with double-glazed uPVC is often prohibited in listed buildings and destroys the character of period properties. Secondary glazing preserves the original window while transforming its performance.
Our BVS (Balanced Vertical Slider) and TBVS (Tilt-Back Balanced Vertical Slider) secondary glazing mirrors the vertical sliding action of a traditional sash window. The spring-balance mechanism makes operation effortless. The tilt-in facility (TBVS) allows cleaning without removing the unit.
