This Privacy Policy explains how Secondary Windows Glazing ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website or request a quote, survey or installation. We are the data controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us: name, email address, telephone number, postal address/postcode, and the window specifications and project details you enter into our quote configurator or contact forms.
Payment information: if you place an order, card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected via cookies and analytics (see our Cookie Policy).

2. How we use your information

To prepare quotes, carry out surveys and fulfil orders for secondary glazing supply and installation.
To take payment and provide order confirmations and receipts.
To respond to enquiries and provide customer support (including via our live chat provider).
To improve our website and services, and — where you have consented — to send relevant follow-up about your enquiry.

3. Legal bases for processing

We rely on: contract (to provide a quote or fulfil your order); legitimate interests (to respond to enquiries, prevent fraud and improve our service); consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing); and legal obligation (to keep financial records).

4. Sharing your information

We share data only as needed to deliver our service: with our payment processor (Stripe), form provider (Web3Forms), live-chat provider (Tawk.to), hosting provider (Netlify), analytics provider (Google), and — where you opt for installation — with the approved installer carrying out your fitting. We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

6. Data retention

We keep enquiry and quote data for up to 24 months, and order and financial records for at least 6 years to meet HMRC requirements. We then delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email sales@secondarywindowsglazing.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Security

We use HTTPS encryption and reputable processors. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page with the revision date above.
