There are six main types of secondary glazing available. Each suits different window configurations and access requirements. This guide explains every type.
2–5 panels sliding along horizontal tracks. Suitable for wide windows. Max width 4,934mm. Popular for commercial properties and wide residential windows.
Slides vertically like a sash window. Spring-balanced, tilt-in facility. Max height 3,325mm. The natural partner for traditional sash windows.
Opens inwards like a door. Slimline (60–72mm sightlines, 100kg) and heavy-duty (180kg, DG unit compatible). Single, double and tilt-and-turn options.
Simple panel lifted out completely for access. Most affordable option. Excellent performance when in place.
Permanently installed, no opening mechanism. Maximum insulation and acoustic performance for non-opening windows.
For non-standard shapes — arched, curved, angled, circular, Gothic. CNC manufactured to any geometry. 200+ RAL colours.
